This is the second of these pots we have owned. The first was a very durable, useful pot. The size and enamel-on-steel construction made it large enough to cook pasta or soup on top of the stove and strong enough to cook a pot roast in the oven, but small enough to fit easily into a dishwasher. The glass top allows you to monitor cooking without releasing heat.

This is a great pot for making soup. It distributes heat very well so that things don't stick to it even if you are, like me, occasionally inattentive and forget to stir. I love it.
