This model has more attachments and gizmos than any other I looked at in this price range. It is powerful enough for large batches but precision enough to do fine work. It has three bowl sizes that will tackle any job one can dream up. Great essential kitchen tool!

I bought this food processor from Amazon about 18 months ago. It looked great on paper, and most Amazon reviews were positive. Looking back on the purchase, it has been a disappointment.

The device has lots of parts, which makes it complex to use and complex to clean. This extra work load can makes it more a labor generating, than a labor saving device.

By contrast, we also have a mini-prep food processor manufactured by Cuisinart. It is quick and easy to use and clean, so it gets used several times a month.

The big Kitchenaid hardly gets used, and yet the plastic handle on the lid / feeder mechanism has cracked, and the safety interlock won't engage. I just ordered an replacement, which cost almost as much as the complete Cuisinart Mini Prep food processor.

For the money I recommend you keep looking for something that is simpler and better made.

I have used most of the attachments that came with this food processor. My former food processor was over 20 years old and very basic. Happily, this KitchenAid is just as easy to use and has so many more features than did my previous machine. It is sturdy and attractive. I have it on my counter because I use it so much. I love it.
